What’s it going to be like to work with you on my ebook?
First of all, it’s going to be awesome. You’ll get lots of personal, professional attention as we work through the creation of your ebook.
We’ll start out by chatting about your needs and vision for this project. Then I’ll quote you a price, write up a contract, and we’re ready to rock! You’ll gather your materials, send them to me along with your downpayment, and I’ll work my editing and designing magic. You’ll have a chance to give your input all along the way so we end up with an amazing product that gets us both excited.
For more info on the process and what to expect, check out my blog entries here and here.
Can you help me with the graphics for my ebook?
Absolutely. I’m a graphic designer and an artist, and I love putting illustrations together. Just make sure you choose an ebook package that includes custom graphics.
I don’t see a package or service that quite fits what I need, but I’m pretty sure you’re the one for the job. What do I do?
Not a problem, friend! Just contact me and I’ll put together an estimate just for you.
What program do you use to create the ebooks?
I use either Pages or InDesign, depending on the graphical needs of your particular ebook. You will receive a copy of the original file at the end of the project.
What if I want to make changes to my ebook later?
Just let me know! Most minor changes are free, though I do have to charge a fee for more extensive work. Don’t worry, I’m reasonable.
I’m pretty good with this whole ebook thing, but I could use help with my cover. Do you do that?
As a matter of fact, I do. Cover design is a flat fee of $180.
Can you convert my ebook to Kindle format?
Yes. It’s just $100.
My current website was created old-school style with full CSS and HTML. Can you update/redesign/add something to it for me?
Sorry, but I work exclusively with WordPress-based websites right now. The only exception I will make is if you need me to help you set up your ebook sales page.
Is your hair really purple?
Yes. Yes, it is.
Is that your motorcycle?
No. >sad face< It belongs to my awesome friend's husband. Some day I will have a cool bike of my own.
Who took all those great pics of you?
That would be my aforementioned friend, Regina of Origin Photo. She rocks!
Who drew the caricatures on your website?
I did, of course!
E-book or ebook?
Either as long as you are consistent.
